Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Psychiatric (Mental Health)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, permanent, days shift, 1 shift per week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care within the Emergency Psychiatric Services department.
• Develop, update, and evaluate individualized, interdisciplinary plans of care for patients.
• Monitor patient outcomes and coordinate resources to support mental health recovery.
• Provide care to patients aged 5 and up with various psychiatric diagnoses, including depression, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders.
• Assist patients requiring detoxification and address co-occurring medical needs as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Maine RN license.
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN).
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
• Current CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training prior to start date.
• At least 1 year of experience in mental health nursing.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong team player with the ability to manage stress and make decisions under pressure.
• Flexibility to provide coverage 24/7.
