Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and assist with CT examinations under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare patients and position them accurately for scans, explaining procedures and obtaining necessary consents.
• Operate CT equipment proficiently, following protocols to produce diagnostic images.
• Administer contrast materials safely, monitor patient condition, and manage IVs as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and document procedures accurately in the Radiology Information System.
• Perform routine quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and assist in training student technologists.
• Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department and ensure timely scheduling of exams.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-accredited program.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Ability to operate CT scanners proficiently and administer contrast media.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Willingness to work on-call and respond promptly to emergency situations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Up to one year of experience in CT.
• Knowledge of PACS and teleradiology systems.
• Experience working with pediatric or neonatal patients.
