Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, days, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities
• Assist physical therapists with patient treatments in an acute care hospital setting
• Follow individualized treatment plans and POC (Plan of Care)
• Administer patient exercises, assist with mobility, and educate patients and families
• Document patient progress and treatment completion in electronic health records
• Perform assessments such as range of motion, strength testing, and vital signs
• Maintain safety standards and proper use of equipment during treatment

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in an acute care hospital
• Valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Ability to obtain West Virginia state licensure (pending licenses accepted with active license in hand)
• Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers with strong specialty skills considered
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow department protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Proficiency in use of hospital equipment such as beds, gait belts, and mobility devices
• Familiarity with documentation for billing and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of therapy assessments including AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain, and sensory response
