Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), travel assignment, 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care within a medical-surgical setting, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Independently practice while demonstrating awareness of clinical and situational factors, including psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitor for side effects, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and care plans, addressing learning needs and resource identification.
• Make appropriate patient care assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current RN license in the state of employment or possessing a compact license
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to manage complex patient care needs in a fast-paced environment
