Registered Nurse ICU

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical care for neuro, post-surgical, stroke, trauma, and sepsis patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and manage patients with ventilators, IV drips, telemetry, and ensure proper sedation and emergency response.
• Float to Stepdown Units, ED, or Medical-Surgical units as needed to support patient care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, including patient assessments and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and infection control practices.

Required Qualifications

• Valid VA or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Strong neuro critical care experience, including post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke management.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification via the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to float to other units such as Stepdown, ED, or MedSurg.
• Valid driver’s license for address verification.
• Must meet local radius rule (residency at least 50 miles from facility).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3+ years of ICU experience, preferably with neuro specialization.
• Previous travel nursing experience.
• EKG proficiency and successful completion of approved EKG testing.
