- Full-time, 13-week contract (temp-to-perm available)
- Midshift: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department, including stroke, STEMI, geriatric, pediatric, cardiac arrest, and renal cases.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for effects and side effects.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and provide patient and family education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and timely care.
- Demonstrate independence in critical decision-making and effective delegation to care team members.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas or an eligible compact state.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (American Heart Association only).
- At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or critical care settings.
- EPIC EMR experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a trauma or stroke center.
- Knowledge of advanced emergency procedures and protocols.
- Experience with thrombectomy-capable stroke centers.
