Key Responsibilities
- Provide surgical assistance in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and assist with other service lines including general, gynecology, vascular, urology, podiatry, orthopedic, and spine cases.
- Support the surgical team during procedures, ensuring equipment and supplies are prepared and sterile field maintained.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and procedural success.
- Float between multiple hospital campuses as needed to meet staffing requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with hospital standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience (10+ years).
- Current CPR certification.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from a recognized certifying agency or military equivalent.
- Flexibility to work day shifts and rotating call schedule (1 day per week and every 5th weekend).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous open heart surgery experience is required.
- Certified Tech preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work across multiple service lines, demonstrating versatility.
