Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | 3 out of 4 Weekends Required | No Call Requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients throughout the labor and delivery process
- Perform nursing duties during both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating for c-sections
- Deliver postpartum couplet care with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2 for early labor or induction, and 1:3 for couplet care
- Utilize EPIC Stork for clinical documentation, Centricity fetal monitoring system, and Pyxis medication management system
- Collaborate within a team environment alongside a shift nurse lead and a minimum of six L&D RNs per shift
- Float between two LDRP units based on census and departmental need
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Ability to circulate c-sections required
- Active Compact or Indiana state RN license required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association required
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC Stork documentation and Centricity fetal monitoring systems
- Familiarity with high-volume LDRP unit environments
- Comfort with flexible unit assignments across multiple care settings
