Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday through Friday, 8.5-hour shifts | Potential weekend call rotation (approximately one weekend per month and holidays) for those with stress testing experience
Key Responsibilities
- Administer conscious sedation and recover patients post-procedure, including Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Cardioversions
- Participate in an average of 8 TEEs and/or Cardioversions per day
- Perform cardiac stress testing procedures as applicable
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Utilize equipment including Defibrillator (LifePak), EPIC and CUPID charting systems, and Accudose
- Collaborate with charge nurses and providers in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio environment
Required Qualifications
- Active North Dakota nursing license or valid Compact nursing license
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum 2 years of Critical Care and/or Cardiac nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to administer conscious sedation and manage post-procedure patient recovery
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and patient assessment skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac stress testing procedures
- Familiarity with Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) and Cardioversion procedures
- Prior experience with EPIC and CUPID electronic charting systems
