Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a high-volume neurosurgery OR environment, supporting approximately 200 neuro cases per month across 4 operating rooms

• Perform scrub duties for a broad range of neurosurgical procedures including spinal fusions, craniotomies, and other neuro cases

• Collaborate with RN circulators and surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient room operations

• Participate in weeknight call rotations, approximately 1–2 nights per week (1730–0700)

• Participate in weekend call rotation, approximately once per month, as well as holiday call as required

• Document and navigate case information using EPIC Optime EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neurosurgery OR setting, including direct experience with spinal fusions and craniotomies

• Must be well-rounded across all neuro surgical cases — not limited to spine and cranial procedures

• BLS certification required

• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts with assigned call schedule; no self-scheduling available

• Willingness and availability to fulfill weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with EPIC Optime EMR

• Prior experience in a high-volume, fast-paced neurosurgery program

• Familiarity with charge nurse and house supervisor team structures in a surgical setting
