Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients admitted to a critical access hospital with a strong rehabilitation focus
- Provide comprehensive physical therapy treatments with an emphasis on active treatment rather than evaluation only
- Manage a workflow of approximately one patient per hour within a 24-bed rehab-focused unit serving predominantly swing bed patients
- Utilize a fully equipped rehabilitation gym, including adaptive equipment, lift equipment, an accessible kitchen, laundry setup, and outdoor therapy spaces
- Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health records system
- Float to an affiliated long-term care facility within the same building as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid state Physical Therapy license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience
- Strong rehabilitation mindset with demonstrated ability to evaluate and treat hospital-admitted patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a critical access hospital or swing bed environment
- Familiarity with Cerner documentation platform
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary rehab services team
