Key Responsibilities

• Perform adult and pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms per established policy and store images on the archival system.
• Administer echocardiogram contrast as needed when suboptimal images are present.
• Assist cardiologists with transesophageal echocardiograms, including patient preparation, recording tomographic views, and adjusting instrumentation.
• Perform treadmill and dobutamine stress echocardiograms in collaboration with the cardiologist and stress testing nurse, obtaining pre- and post-stress images.
• Maintain a safe testing environment and correctly identify patients using two patient identifiers.
• Complete clerical functions including study review, chart preparation for dictation, and updating procedure statuses upon completion.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in cardiac ultrasound or echocardiography.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to perform imaging across all age-specific patient populations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ARDMS Certification.
• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary cardiac care team.
