Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting with a 1:20 patient ratio
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with care plans and facility protocols
- Document resident assessments and care activities using ECS charting system
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs as required
- Participate in orientation activities, including obtaining required facility-specific certifications upon arrival
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska LVN/LPN license in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of LVN/LPN experience, with prior LTC experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- BLS certification required
- Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
- Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECS electronic charting system
- Familiarity with long-term care facility workflows and resident population needs
- Flexibility to work either day or night shift based on facility needs at time of start
