Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit, including LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
- Manage and monitor laboring patients, inductions, and high-risk antepartum cases in a fast-paced environment averaging up to 14 patients per shift
- Perform OB triage assessments for third-trimester testing patients and incoming triage volume
- Serve in or train toward a charge nurse role as unit needs require
- Float to like units within the facility or affiliate locations as needed to meet patient care demands
- Complete required compliance modules and maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted for submission; must be in hand prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
- Experience in a high-volume, high-risk OB environment including antepartum and triage
- Familiarity with Magnet facility standards and practices
