Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend required | Holidays rotate annually

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility setting
• Manage and monitor residents with common diagnoses including hypertension, diabetes, and those requiring assistance with ADLs and transfers
• Coordinate with medication aides and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective resident care
• Document resident assessments, care plans, and clinical notes using the facility's electronic medical records system
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols, including weekend and holiday rotation requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact state
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility environments
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend
• Proficiency or ability to learn Point Click Care (PCC) EMR system
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working with geriatric populations requiring ADL assistance and transfers
• Familiarity with managing residents with hypertension and diabetes in a SNF setting
• Experience working in a high-census facility environment
