Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours per week | 12-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to patients in a Surgical/Shock Trauma ICU setting with common diagnoses including trauma, surgery, and transplant
• Manage a patient assignment within a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:1.7 in a 21–30 bed unit
• Perform and support all major surgical procedures requiring critical care intervention
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using the designated electronic medical record system
• Participate in every-other-holiday and every-third-weekend rotation as required
• Provide thorough shift handoff to oncoming staff, including outstanding tasks and relevant clinical updates not immediately visible in the EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an SICU or equivalent critical care specialty — no exceptions
• Recent hands-on experience with Epic electronic medical record system
• Current BLS and all required nursing certifications with valid expiration dates
• Ability to meet weekend and holiday rotation requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in trauma, surgical, or transplant critical care environments
• Familiarity with Cerner in addition to Epic charting platforms
• Experience floating to ICU support areas as needed
