Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Surgical Unit)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a surgical telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses related to spine surgery and post-surgical recovery
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units within acuity level as directed by staffing
• Participate in holiday and every-other-weekend rotation as required
• Provide timely shift handoff to charge or oncoming nurse, including outstanding tasks not visible in the EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Telemetry specialty — no exceptions
• Current BLS certification and all required nursing certifications with valid expiration dates
• Ability to complete a Voice Advantage interview and a Nurse Manager screening/interview prior to placement
• No overtime or incidental overtime accumulation; must adhere to facility overtime policies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a surgical or post-operative telemetry setting
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
• Experience caring for spine surgery patients
