Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (with rotating day off) | 8-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub and circulating duties in the operating room across a variety of surgical specialties
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and equipment before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to ensure safe and efficient surgical care
- Document and update patient information accurately within the Epic electronic health record system
- Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes of the facility as required
Required Qualifications
- Active certification through the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience
- At least one prior travel contract completed
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Ability to be on-call and respond within 30 minutes of the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in plastics, general, orthopedic, ENT, or neurosurgery
- Familiarity with Epic system updates or go-live implementations
