Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments
• Work independently in completing assignments in accordance with physician orders, standards of care, and nursing policies and procedures
• Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages and their families in a fast-paced ER environment
• Serve as a clinical nurse within a facility that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services to a large regional service area
• Support a diverse patient population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from any U.S. state — Arizona state licensure is not required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within one (1) year of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completion required within 6 months of hire; Emergency Severity Index Level 5 required within 3 months of hire; Patient Sitter Competency Training required upon hire

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care setting
• Experience working in a culturally diverse or underserved community healthcare environment
• Familiarity with trauma and pediatric emergency nursing protocols
