Job Title

• Travel Registered Nurse - PCU/IMC/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Days shifts, 12-hour shifts, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high acuity cardiac progressive/intermediate care unit.
• Monitor and operate advanced equipment such as telemetry, ventilators, and infusion pumps.
• Perform procedures including post-cardiac cath care, thoracic surgery recovery, and pre/post-operative care for open-heart surgeries.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately using the electronic medical record system.
• Respond effectively to patient needs and emergent situations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year current acute care experience in a PCU or IMC/Stepdown unit.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficiency in chest tube management, pacer wire removal, 12-lead EKGs, and oxygen management including BIPAP and heated high-flow systems.
• Experience administering drips such as heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, and ketamine.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with thoracic surgery, including chest tube management and post-operative care.
• Familiarity with procedures like TAVRs, ablations, Pacemaker implants, and neurovascular assessments.
• Knowledge of vascular surgery postoperative care.
• Comfortable working with advanced cardiac monitoring and critical intervention tools.
