Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases
- Provide direct patient care, education, and support while serving as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families or support systems
- Function in the role of Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, and/or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse based on experience and training
- Collaborate with the entire surgical team using a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience
- Experience with orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures, and interventional pain management
- Current RN licensure in good standing
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab experience
- CNOR certification
- Proficiency with Cerner EHR
