Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend | Rotating holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and non-emergent conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the electronic health record system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Adapt to system transitions and changes in clinical workflows, including EHR platform migrations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active RN license valid in Connecticut (or compact eligibility)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience navigating EHR system transitions or go-live implementations
- Familiarity with Meditech in addition to EPIC
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt quickly in high-acuity environments
