Registered Nurse – Vascular Access Team (Medical Surgical)

Contract (13–16 weeks) | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Place and remove peripheral IVs at the bedside and troubleshoot IV and PICC lines
• Assess PICC lines, perform dressing changes for PICCs, and administer TPA as needed
• Access and flush ports; draw blood as backup support
• Float to various areas to place PIVs, troubleshoot lines, and complete dressing changes
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed, including potential mid-week rotations, with typically 48 hours off between rotations

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty
• IV ultrasound guidance experience and strong IV skills required
• Large trauma Level 1 facility experience within the past year
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AVA Certification and/or PICC line placement certification
• Background as an ER RN or Infusion RN
• Prior travel nursing experience
