Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Travel)

• Chattanooga, TN

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Full-time, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for orthopedic and spine surgery patients.
• Assist with procedures such as knee and hip replacements, multi-level spine surgeries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code and safety protocols.
• Support patient education and ensure comfort during night shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in medical-surgical or orthopedic/spine units.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and compassionate patient care.
• Experience with orthopedic procedures such as joint replacements and spine surgeries.
• Ability to work nights and rotate shifts as needed.
• Knowledge of Meditech documentation system.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with equipment such as coolers, walkers, SCDs, CPMs.
• Previous experience working in a hospital with a dedicated orthopedic/spine unit.
