Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to adult surgical and trauma patients in a fast-paced 15-bed intensive care unit within a Level 1 facility
• Monitor, assess, and manage complex patient conditions requiring intensive intervention
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to other units within the facility as needed per facility policy
• Adhere to rotating weekend and holiday scheduling, including every other weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission; must be in-hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification (copy required at submission)
• Current ACLS certification (copy required at submission)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Nursys verification required at time of submittal
• Willingness and ability to float within scope of practice per facility float policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a surgical or trauma intensive care unit setting
• Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center environment
