Registered Nurse – SICU (Surgical/Trauma ICU)

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult surgical and trauma critical care patients in a fast-paced 15-bed intensive care unit within a Level 1 facility
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Accurately document patient care activities and clinical findings using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within scope of practice to other units within the facility as needed per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted at time of submission; must be in-hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Epic electronic health records experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submittal
• Copies of all required certifications must be submitted with application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a surgical or trauma intensive care unit setting
