Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiographic examinations including general X-rays, fluoroscopy, and specialized procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining examinations, obtaining relevant medical history, and positioning patients to ensure optimal image quality.
• Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines to minimize ionizing radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Review and process radiographic images for quality, performing basic enhancements such as cropping, collimation, and annotation to support accurate interpretation.
• Document examination details including patient demographics, procedure notes, imaging findings, and quality assurance measures in the EMR or radiology information system.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate imaging services and facilitate patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Technology Program (or military training equivalent validated by active ARRT certification).
• Active ARRT certification.
• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation safety practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility.
