Key Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for CT scanning procedures, verifying patient identity, medical history, and physician orders to ensure appropriate imaging protocols are followed.
• Operate CT scanner equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images, adjusting scanning parameters such as slice thickness, exposure settings, and contrast administration to optimize image quality.
• Monitor patients during scanning procedures, observing for adverse reactions or complications and taking appropriate action as necessary.
• Perform image processing techniques including windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting, and assist radiologists and physicians with image interpretation and documentation.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles; maintain proper documentation of procedures, patient assessments, contrast administration, and any adverse events.
• Perform daily equipment checks and quality control tests; participate in quality assurance activities and support orientation and education of new staff and radiology students.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program as validated by an active ARRT Certification.
• Current licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT registered or registry eligible.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles, techniques, equipment operation, and post-processing protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Two or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiology.
• Prior experience working as a CT Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility.
• Additional certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the ARRT or other recognized certifying body.
