Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with facility protocols
- Decontaminate reusable medical devices and instruments following established safety procedures
- Assemble and wrap instrument trays and sets for surgical cases
- Support a high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment across a range of surgical specialties
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential assignment to alternate campuses
- Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience
- Hands-on experience in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly/wrapping
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Current CBSPD and/or HSPA national certification required
- Willingness and ability to float to sister facilities as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with specialty surgical cases including Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedics, Transplant, and GYN
- Prior experience in a teaching or Magnet-designated facility
