Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 38-bed, Level II Trauma Center general mixed ICU serving medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patient populations
• Manage care for post-operative open-heart surgery patients as well as patients requiring VV and VA ECMO, balloon pump, Impella, and CRRT
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, GI scopes, chest tube insertions, and arterial and central line insertions
• Deliver airway management and perform frequent drip titrations in accordance with unit protocols
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, and ECMO devices
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system while maintaining a 2:1 or 1:1 patient ratio depending on acuity

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 1–2 years of current acute care ICU hospital experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• CVICU or CTICU experience, specifically caring for immediate post-operative open-heart surgery patients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to function effectively as a collaborative team member
