Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a patient population that includes pulmonary, general medical, COPD, asthma, and tracheostomy patients, as well as patients with longer lengths of stay.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias via continuous telemetry monitoring.
• Manage pulmonary patients requiring tracheostomy care, chest tubes, and non-invasive oxygen support including BiPAP and CPAP (no ventilators).
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC, with medication administration via PYXIS and communication via SBAR framework.
• Float within the service line as needed.
• Fulfill weekend requirement of 3 weekends (6 total weekend shifts) every 6 weeks and work 2 of 3 major holidays per contract.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience.
• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable for submission).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• Demonstrated skill in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior telemetry nursing experience.
• Familiarity with EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR communication tools.
• Experience caring for tracheostomy, chest tube, or BiPAP/CPAP patients.
