Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures in support of patient care, including in an emergency room setting
  • Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens in accordance with established protocols
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
  • Document and report test results accurately and in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all safety, quality control, and compliance standards within the laboratory

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
  • Current and valid laboratory technician licensure or certification as required
  • Experience performing clinical laboratory testing in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience working in or supporting an emergency room or high-acuity clinical environment
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or rural healthcare setting
