Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (High Acuity, Trauma & Surgery Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days shift, 12-hour shifts, on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity surgical and trauma unit
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team during patient handoffs, including ED nurses and admitting staff
• Utilize electronic medical records system, specifically EPIC, to document patient care and interventions
• Support patients with complex needs, including surgical, gunshot wounds, paraplegic, and quad patients
• Adhere to established protocols and maintain patient safety standards in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialty surgical or trauma setting
• Valid BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Willing to work various shifts with no block scheduling
• Must be willing to work identified shifts as needed; no RTO restrictions
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with high-acuity patients, including trauma and surgical populations
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, especially during patient handoffs
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
