Schedule / Job Type
- Contract, Part-time (20 hours/week), Day shifts, 2-10 hour shifts with the possibility to pick up additional hours, on-call shifts as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate in CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) for open heart and vascular procedures
- Support endovascular and cardiac open heart surgeries
- Collaborate with a preceptor during initial cases, especially for vascular and open heart surgeries
- Maintain compliance with unit protocols and safety standards during procedures
- Assist in patient care before, during, and after surgeries
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 3+ years of core CVOR experience including circulating RN responsibilities
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system
- Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts (3-4 shifts/month, with 2-hour callback within 30 minutes)
- Must have necessary certifications as required for CVOR nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience as a scrub RN in CVOR settings
- Endovascular and cardiac open-heart procedure experience preferred
- Willingness to float as needed
