Job Title

• Registered Nurse - ICU (CVICU)

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week contract, Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Support cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) cases by monitoring and managing critically ill cardiac patients
• Operate advanced CVICU devices such as hemodynamic monitors, ventilators, and cardiac support devices
• Provide comprehensive patient care adhering to hospital protocols and policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient progress accurately in the Meditech system
• Maintain compliance with all safety and clinical standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, with specific experience in CVICU preferred
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring (swans, arterial lines) and ventilator management
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIH certification or equivalent required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Exposure to intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) procedures
• Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• Prior use of Meditech for charting and order entry

Additional Details

• Work Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Shifts: 3 per week, with rotating weekends and no guaranteed hours beyond 36 per week
• Shift start date: 06/26/2026
• Worksite: Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, TX
• Dress code: Navy scrubs, neat hair, covered tattoos, minimal visible piercings
• Floating policy: Must be willing to float within hospital guidelines
