Registered Nurse ICU

Job Title

• ICU Registered Nurse (CVICU) - Night Shift

Schedule / Job Type

• Contract / Travel - 13 Weeks - Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) - 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute nursing care to critically ill patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
• Monitor patient hemodynamics, including Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines.
• Manage ventilators and respond to cardiac support devices such as IABP, Impella, and ECMO.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient condition and interventions accurately using Meditech charting system.
• Adhere to unit-specific procedures including post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-catheterization care.

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS.
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• NIH certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Exposure to IABP, CRRT, and ECMO devices.
• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system.
• Ability to perform advanced cardiac procedures on support devices.
