Full-time, Days, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, EOW)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU, IMC, or Stepdown units.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.
• Maintain patient ratios approximately 1:3 to ensure optimal care.
• Utilize skills in conscious sedation, vent management, and telemetry monitoring.
• Document patient care and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar setting.
• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio.
• BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Skills in conscious sedation, ventilator management, and telemetry.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EHR system.
• Prior float experience within acute care units.
• Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Additional Notes

• All candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting immediately upon signing the contract, with a strict deadline of Tuesday prior to start.
• Candidates outside Ohio within driving distance must visit a fingerprinting location in Ohio.
• Remote or local candidates are welcome, with the same pay rate.
• Two professional references required, including at least one leadership reference.
• No coworker references accepted.
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at Ohio State University hospital locations.
