Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties in a fast-paced ambulatory OR specializing in ENT and ophthalmology procedures across 6 operating rooms
• Provide perioperative nursing care for a diverse patient population spanning infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Support ENT surgical cases including endoscopic sinus procedures, tympanoplasty, septoplasty, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy, and radical neck dissection, as well as pediatric ENT procedures
• Execute emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, latex allergy management, and malignant hyperthermia response
• Ensure accurate specimen handling/labeling and adherence to Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures
• Float to other area ambulatory surgery center locations as needed on a rare basis

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
• Demonstrated scrub experience in ENT surgery, including both adult and pediatric cases
• Proficiency in ambulatory OR work setting
• Competency in pediatric ENT procedures (e.g., myringotomy with tubes, tonsillectomy/adenoids)
• Current BLS certification; EPIC EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in pediatric general OR and ophthalmology procedures (cataract extraction, corneal transplant, glaucoma surgery, vitrectomy)
• Familiarity with bronchoscopy and endoscopic procedures
• Knowledge of laser safety, infection control practices, and fiber optic/electrosurgical equipment
• Pediatric ophthalmology experience, including eye trauma cases
