Contract (13-Week Travel Assignment) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM | Rotating Weekends | No On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track bays, and 5 behavioral health rooms
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 in the ED, 1:5 in behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma patients
- Perform and assist with procedures including splinting, EKGs, central line management, airway support, trauma assists, and resuscitation
- Operate specialized equipment including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
- Support behavioral health de-escalation and provide care using Morgan lens and rapid infuser as needed
- Document patient care accurately using MEDITECH EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
- Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Current NIHSS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with MEDITECH EMR
- Trauma nursing experience
- Holding or inpatient experience
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
