Travel Registered Nurse – Oncology

Contract | Travel | 14-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a dedicated Oncology unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 (max 5:1)
• Perform sterile dressing changes following infection prevention protocols
• Administer blood and electrolyte replacements in accordance with unit protocols on a daily basis
• Operate and manage Baxter infusion pumps and document care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a team including charge nurses, fellow RNs, and Patient Care Technicians across a 41-bed unit
• Float to designated areas as required per unit guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Oncology nursing experience
• Strong proficiency in sterile dressing changes and infection prevention practices
• Solid understanding of blood and electrolyte replacement process and protocols
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• General Medical Oncology background
• Experience with ports and central lines
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
