Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:15 AM – 6:45 PM) | Every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy via multiple routes including IV push, continuous infusion, and oral administration, while monitoring patient response throughout treatment
• Perform IV therapy and infusion services including accessing ports, central line care, PICC line care, blood and blood product administration, and starting IVs
• Handle and dispose of body fluids post-chemotherapy and manage cytotoxic spills in accordance with safety protocols
• Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values to the appropriate care team members
• Administer antifungals, antivirals, and coagulation factors as ordered
• Float within scope as needed to support facility staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in hand or actively in the application process at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Oncology RN experience
• Chemotherapy certification required
• Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and IV therapy/infusion skills as outlined in the role
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross (RQI cards not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience with central line blood draws and implanted line care
