What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Chemistry or Geometry within a blended learning environment.
• Serve as an expert in your content area, leveraging best instructional practices to foster high-quality learning experiences.
• Set ambitious academic goals, monitor student progress, and provide frequent, actionable feedback to support scholar growth.
• Analyze student data and collaborate with school leadership to develop targeted growth plans for struggling students.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with scholars and families through proactive communication.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes scholars’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Meet all professional expectations, including timely lesson planning, grade submission, and analysis of student work.
• Participate as a collaborative team member, contributing to shared goals and high expectations.
• Engage in ongoing instructional professional development through coaching and feedback cycles.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Valid TN Teaching Certification with appropriate endorsements for the content area(s).
• Experience teaching 9-12th grade Geometry, Chemistry, and/or World History.
• Certification in the subject(s) or an undergraduate degree in the specific subject.
• Strong proficiency in instructional technology and data systems.
• Ability to design and deliver instruction using digital tools and learning platforms.
• Openness to giving and receiving actionable feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and emotional composure in high-pressure settings.
• Committed to ongoing learning, growth, and professional development.
