Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Complex Intervention Unit)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an adult acute care and behavioral health unit with a dual-side structure (acute care and co-occurring medical/behavioral health patients)
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 on the acute care side and 1:4 on the behavioral health side
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including charge nurses and patient care technicians to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes
• Float within scope of practice to meet unit needs as required
• Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health record systems
• Participate in emergency response assignments as required during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (SC license must be active prior to start)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers also considered)
• Familiarity with acute care environments within a Level I Trauma Center or Magnet-designated facility
