Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:30 PM – 8:00 AM) | Monday – Friday | No Major Holidays | No Weekends | No On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse adult inpatient and outpatient surgical population across primary and secondary recovery bays
- Collaborate closely with holding unit staff, operating room teams, surgical providers, and anesthesia partners to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Monitor and assess patients in the immediate post-operative period, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
- Communicate and coordinate with the main PACU unit regarding patients requiring admission or transfer to the Surgical Observation Unit
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or valid Multi-State/Compact RN license in hand at time of start
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of PACU nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Joint Commission accredited facility
- Familiarity with post-operative care for both inpatient and outpatient surgical populations
