Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: June 15, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for general Medical Surgical patients in a 24-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Perform bedside shift reports and conduct safety rounding in accordance with facility policy
- Utilize Meditech Expanse for clinical documentation
- Work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital staff
- Float as needed to other Med Surg units, the ED (for Med Surg holds), or ICU/PCU (for Med Surg level patients)
- Collaborate with unit secretaries and PCTs to deliver high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience caring for general Medical Surgical patients
- Ability to meet scheduling requirements including 2 weekends per month
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system
- Comfort with floating to ED or ICU/PCU environments to manage Med Surg level patients
- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
