Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

Contract | Days | Full-Time | 5x8-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical procedures with a strong focus on orthopedic cases
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment
- Participate in on-call rotation, approximately 4–6 call shifts per 6-week period, including weekend call coverage
- Float between facilities within the state as needed to support surgical services operations
- Complete required compliance modules prior to start and on an annual basis
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience required
- Strong orthopedic surgical experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Valid California state license must be in hand prior to start
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with Mediteach charting system
- Demonstrated ability to adapt across multiple surgical service lines
