Contract | Days | Full-Time | 5x8-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide surgical technologist support within a fast-paced acute care hospital surgical services department
- Scrub on a variety of surgical cases with a strong focus on orthopedic procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation, approximately 4–6 call shifts per 6-week period, including weekend call
- Float between facilities within the state as required by the assignment
- Complete required facility compliance modules prior to start and on an annual basis
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience required
- Strong orthopedic surgical scrub experience required
- Active BLS certification required
- Valid California surgical technologist license must be in hand prior to start
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Mediteach charting system
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting with high surgical volume
