Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Surgical Oncology)

Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed-acuity PCU and Medical-Surgical surgical oncology unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Care for patients with surgical oncology diagnoses including breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and reconstructive plastics cases
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin drips, and heparin drips
• Recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies including cytokine release syndrome
• Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
• Float within scope of practice to other units as required by departmental needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown setting
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) required at time of submission
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Prior experience in a surgical oncology or high-acuity oncology nursing environment
