Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage patients requiring pressor support, endotracheal tubes, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and wound careli>Assist with and maintain sterile technique during procedures including line insertion, paracentesis, bedside trach placement, chest tubes, bronchoscopy, and phlebotomy
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; must pass EKG interpretation/management competency exam prior to start
• Float within the ICU service line to medical-surgical areas as needed to meet unit demands
• Adhere to every-other-weekend scheduling requirements and fulfill all terms of the contract assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required; candidates with less than 2 years of experience must have Level I Trauma Center background
• Experience in a 20+ bed ICU is required
• Active RN license (MO or compact license accepted; pending MO license submissions considered)
• ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications required by compliance deadline
• Must pass Relias EKG Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias exam
• Home address must be located at least 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1.5+ years of MICU-specific experience preferred
• Experience with CRRT, CVVHD, Swan-Ganz catheter, inhaled and IV Flolan, proning, and MTP/Level 1 Rapid Transfuser
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
