Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour medical monitoring and nursing care to rehabilitation patients including stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary diagnoses
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team alongside physiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and therapists
- Support patients in achieving goals of improved functional ability and independence throughout their inpatient rehabilitation stay
- Participate in daily provider rounding and contribute to ongoing patient care planning
- Float to other units and facilities as needed
- Work every other weekend and holidays as required
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in rehabilitation nursing; candidates with 18 months of total experience working under the highest level of professional licensure will be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of nursing experience in a rehabilitation or related specialty setting
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Experience working in an inpatient acute rehabilitation environment
